Cornell University

Our spot is over at D 52 in Hauz Khas. It’s an interesting place to be because this part of New Delhi is always moving. Even though the address says Haryana 110016, we are right here in the heart of the city area near the old market and the parks. Cornell University has this little presence here and it’s mostly just us handling the day-to-day things that come across the desk. It’s not like a big campus with huge buildings and grass fields like you might see in the pictures. It is more of an office setting where we deal with paperwork and answer the phone a lot. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud and we have to close the windows just to hear each other speak. The building itself is older but it has some character to it. We get people coming in asking all sorts of questions and we do what we can to point them in the right direction. It’s a bit of a mix of people working here and we all have our own way of doing things. We don’t really do big meetings or anything formal. It is mostly just keeping things organized and making sure the mail gets where it needs to go. Living and working in Hauz Khas means there is always good food nearby, so lunch is usually the best part of the day. We’ve been at this location for a bit now.
