Copmuter Teacher

If you’re looking for the Copmuter Teacher, you’ll find us in Vikaspuri at KG 1/477. We’ve been teaching people how to use computers in this neighborhood for quite a long time. It’s not a big school or a fancy training center. It’s just a few rooms where we’ve set up some PCs so people can learn the basics. We get all kinds of students here. Some are kids who want to learn how to type or use the internet, and some are older folks who just want to know how to send an email to their family. We aren't corporate at all. Our chairs don't always match and the keyboards have some wear and tear, but everything works well enough for learning. Vikaspuri is a noisy, busy place, so there’s always the sound of traffic and people outside our windows. We try to keep things simple and explain technology in words that anyone can understand. We don't have any big goals of being the largest school in Delhi. We just like helping people get comfortable with machines. Sometimes we have tea together between lessons and talk about whatever is in the news. It’s a very local, friendly atmosphere. If someone is struggling with a lesson, we just sit with them until they get it. That’s how we’ve always done things here in our little corner of Vikaspuri. It is simple, honest work that helps our neighbors learn something new.
