Chartered Accountant Firm

Our office is at House number 22 in the WA Block of Shakkarpur, right near the gurudwara. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to some other parts of New Delhi. We’ve been running this firm from here for a while. It’s not a big corporate building, just a regular house that we’ve turned into our workspace. There’s usually a bit of a breeze coming through if the windows are open. We spend a lot of time on the phone or working through spreadsheets. Accounting isn't always the most exciting thing, but it keeps us busy. Most of our day is spent dealing with the tax department or helping local businesses keep their records straight. Being near the gurudwara gives the area a nice feel. We often hear the music and the prayers, which is quite peaceful while we’re working on tax audits. Inside the office, things are usually a bit hectic. Shakkarpur is a busy residential and commercial mix, so there is always someone knocking on the door with a question. We don't have a fancy reception or a person to answer the phones; we just pick it up ourselves. It’s a very hands-on way of doing things. Sometimes we get frustrated with the government portals when they crash, but that’s just part of the job. We don't have a big name for ourselves, we just work for the people who know us.
