You can find Cds Spices over at Plot No. 28, Block-B in Sector-8 of Dwarka. This part of the city is laid out in blocks, so it’s easy to find us once you know which sector to look in. We operate out of a modest building that doesn't really stand out from the others around it. Inside, it’s all about the spices. We have bags of whole spices stacked up against the walls and a small area where we do the grinding and mixing. The smell of cardamom and cloves is usually pretty strong as soon as you step inside. We don't have a fancy reception area or people to answer the phones with a script. It’s usually just one of us wiping our hands on a rag before picking up the call. We spend a lot of our time making sure the moisture doesn't get into the spices, which can be a real problem during the rainy season. The floor is often covered in a fine layer of dust despite how much we sweep. We have some regular customers from the neighborhood who come by because it’s convenient for them. It’s a straightforward business. We show up, process what needs to be done, and send it out. There are no big decorations or anything like that. We just focus on the bags and the jars that need to be filled every single day. The clock on the wall stopped working a few months ago, so we just check our phones when we need to know the time.
