Our office is tucked away in C-9, Hazara Park, which is part of the Chander Nagar and Krishna Nagar area in Delhi. If you’ve ever been to this part of East Delhi, you know how packed the streets can get. We’re right in the thick of it. It’s just a standard CA firm where we handle the day-to-day accounting needs of the local shops and residents. The office isn't anything special to look at—just some sturdy desks, a few swivel chairs that squeak a bit, and rows of blue folders. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing away at the keyboards. Delhi summers are tough, so the air conditioner is usually struggling to keep up with the heat outside. We don’t have any big signs or flashy advertisements. Most people find us because they live nearby or their cousin told them we were here. It’s a very local way of doing things. There’s always someone coming in with a bag full of bills or a question about their income tax. We try to be helpful without making things too formal. We’re just regular people working a regular job. Sometimes we stay late when the March deadline approaches, eating snacks at our desks and trying to finish the last few returns. It’s a busy life in Delhi-51, but we’re used to the pace and the noise of the park nearby. It’s just home for us.
