Birmingham International College

Birmingham International College is located in Vaishali Tower, which is part of the District Centre in Janakpuri, Delhi. This is a very commercial area, so we are surrounded by other offices, shops, and places to eat. Being in a tower means we are up on the fourth floor at number 408. It’s a different kind of college experience because you have to take the lift or the stairs to get to class. The rooms are more like office spaces that have been turned into classrooms. We have air conditioning because Delhi summers are just too much otherwise. The view from the windows shows the rest of the District Centre and all the people moving below. Our students come from all over West Delhi, often using the Blue Line metro which is just a short walk away. It’s a fast-paced environment because of the location. There isn’t a campus or a playground, so students usually go down to the nearby food courts or the mall area when they have a break. We have a reception desk where we handle all the inquiries and a few corridors leading to the different lecture rooms. It’s a very urban setup, focused on the classes and the coursework. We just keep our bit of the building running smoothly and make sure the students have what they need for their lessons. It’s a practical choice for people living in the city who want to study close to home and work.
