Our shop is tucked away on the ground floor of Old Ganpati Plaza, right in the middle of the Karol Bagh madness. It’s Shop No 12-A. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how crowded it gets. We spend most of our time behind the counter dealing with all sorts of gadgets. The space isn't very big, so things tend to pile up a bit on the workbenches. We deal with phones and all the little bits that go with them every single day. It’s constant noise from the street outside and people popping in to ask questions. Sometimes the electricity acts up in the plaza, which is a real pain when you’re trying to test something. We've been at this spot for some time. We aren't a big showroom with bright lights. It’s just a practical place where we work on what needs fixing. We keep the tea kettle going in the back for when things slow down for five minutes. Karol Bagh is always changing, new shops opening every week, but we’re still here at Plot No 13/19. It’s a lot of squinting at small parts and keeping track of tiny screws. Most of the people who come in are regulars from the neighborhood. We just try to get through the pile of work on the desk. It's busy, it's cramped, but it's what we do.
