We’ve been running Baba Kids for quite a while now over here at A-133 Street No 8 in Madhu Vihar. It’s just a simple neighborhood shop where we keep things for children. Most people around here know us because we’ve been in the same spot for years. The street can get pretty crowded in the evenings, but that’s just how it is in Madhu Vihar. We don’t have a big fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s mostly just shelves packed with clothes and some toys that kids seem to like. Sometimes it gets a bit messy when we get new stock in, but we try to keep it organized enough so people can find what they need without too much trouble. My brother and I take turns sitting at the counter. We don't really do much advertising because the local families just drop by when they need something for their little ones. It’s a quiet life, mostly. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down. Sometimes we forget to update the displays, but nobody really minds. It’s just a place to get stuff for children without having to travel all the way to the big malls. We know most of the parents who walk through the door by their first names. It feels more like a part of the community than just a business. We handle everything ourselves, from unpacking boxes to sweeping the floor at night.
