Our office is up on the 4th floor over in Laxmi Nagar, specifically at L-2. If you’ve ever been to this part of New Delhi, you know how crowded it gets. Getting up the stairs or using the lift is part of the daily workout. B. Gupta and the rest of us stay pretty busy with the regular accounting work that comes in. Laxmi Nagar is full of CA firms, so we are just one of many in the area. Our space isn't huge, but it fits all our files and the few computers we use. It gets a bit warm in the afternoons, but we have the fans going. We spend a lot of time talking to clients about their GST or whatever else is bothering them that month. It’s mostly just sitting and typing or checking tallies. We don't put on airs here. Most days we are just in casual clothes unless there is a big meeting. The 4th floor gives us a bit of a view of the street below, which is always a mess of cars and people. Sometimes we have to stay late during tax season, and the whole building is usually humming with activity. We’ve been here for a while and know the neighborhood well. It’s a decent place to work despite the noise and the climb up to the office. We don't have any big signs, just a name on the door and lots of work to do.
