You can find us in the Birla Tower on the 7th floor. It’s a well-known spot on Barakhamba Road, right in the middle of everything in Delhi. Getting here in the morning is always an adventure with the metro crowds and the traffic near the circle. The tower itself has been around for a while, and you can feel that history in the walls and the way the elevators hum. Up on the 7th floor, we have a decent view of the street below, though mostly we just see the tops of other buildings and the haze. The office layout is a bit old-fashioned with desks grouped together and stacks of files that seem to grow every week. We aren't big on modern open-plan stuff; we just have our spaces where we sit and handle the day’s tasks. People are usually walking back and forth between rooms with folders or mugs of tea. It’s a professional enough vibe but we aren't wearing suits every day unless there is a specific reason. Most of the staff has been around for a long time, so we know each other's families and what everyone likes for lunch. There is a small pantry where the kettle is always on. We deal with a lot of paperwork and technical drawings throughout the week. It gets busy, and the phones ring a lot, but we manage to stay on top of things in our own way.
