Ascest Academy

Our place, Ascest Academy, is located over in Preet Vihar at G 230. It is quite easy to find if you know where the Shiv Mandir is. We are right in that same area. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it stays relatively quiet compared to the main market areas, except when there is a festival at the temple. You can hear the bells ringing from the mandir sometimes during the day. We have a small entrance that leads into our main workspace. It is just a few rooms where we keep our books and things. The furniture is mostly wooden and we have a few whiteboards on the walls for notes. There is a window that looks out onto the street, and we see the same people walking their dogs or going to the shops every morning. We usually keep some water in a clay pot in the corner because it stays colder that way. The power goes out once in a while, so we have a small inverter to keep the lights on so we can keep working. It isn't a huge academy with hundreds of staff, just a few of us trying to get things done every day. We spend a lot of time sitting around the main table talking about the schedule or fixing the old computer that keeps freezing up. It is a plain, practical place for anyone coming over to learn. We usually lock the door around seven in the evening and walk home.
