Arora Provision Store

Arora Provision Store is a small shop located at WZ-1228 in Nangal Raya. It’s been our family’s main thing for quite a few years now. We sell the usual stuff you’d expect—rice, pulses, spices, and all those daily household needs. The shop is quite small, so we have bags and boxes stacked up everywhere, sometimes even blocking the way a bit. Most of our customers are people who live right here in the lanes of Nangal Raya. They come in for a kilo of sugar or some tea leaves and end up staying for a chat about the weather or local news. We open early in the morning and usually don't close until late at night because that’s when people realize they forgot to buy something for dinner. It’s a lot of standing around and lifting heavy sacks, and my back definitely feels it by the end of the week. We don't use any high-tech systems; we still mostly write things down in a notebook and use an old weighing scale. It’s not a supermarket where everything is shiny and organized perfectly. It’s just a neighborhood store where we know your name and what brand of soap you prefer. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when too many people come in at once, but we manage somehow. We just try to keep the shelves full and the prices fair for the people who live around us. That is basically our whole day.
