Anand Singh Kanwar

My workspace is at Patiala House Courts, chamber number 252. Working at a place like Patiala House is always interesting because of the history and the constant flow of people. Sometimes I have to jump between different courtrooms or wait hours for a matter to be called. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s important work. I’ve been here for quite a while, and I’ve seen all sorts of situations pass through these halls. I try to keep my advice simple and my work thorough. People who come to chamber 252 are usually looking for someone who will listen and give them a straight answer. I don't use a lot of fancy legal jargon if I can help it; I’d rather people understand what is actually happening with their situation. It’s a busy life, but I enjoy the challenge of working within the legal system every single day. The tea here is strong, which helps when the days get long and the paperwork starts to feel endless.
