Al-Hayat Welfare Foundation

We’ve been over here at Lal Darwaja for a while now. It's a busy spot in Delhi, right around the corner from where most folks live their daily lives. Our place is on the first floor of house 1834. It's nothing fancy, just a room where we get things done. Mostly, we just try to help out people in the neighborhood who are going through a rough patch. Whether it's food or just some advice on how to get paperwork sorted, we do what we can. Sometimes the office is a bit crowded because the stairs are narrow. People know where to find us. We don't really do big speeches or anything. It's more about showing up every day and seeing who needs a hand. Delhi 110006 is a tight-knit area, so word spreads fast when someone's in trouble. We don't have a huge staff, just a few of us who care. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait it out, but that's just life here. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just making sure the family down the street has what they need for the week. It gets loud outside with the traffic, but inside we just focus on the work. If you’re walking by the Lal Darwaja area, you’ll see the sign. It’s been a long journey so far, but we're still at it today.
