Ajmer Academy

We have been running things here at Ajmer Academy for quite a while now. Our place is located at F-7 in the double-storey building over in Mehar Chand Market. It is a busy part of Lodhi Road, so there is always something going on outside our windows. We have a few classrooms where students come in for their lessons. It is not a very fancy setup, just some sturdy desks, whiteboards, and a lot of books piled up on the shelves. Most of the staff here live nearby and we have been working together for years. We spend most of our day helping kids with their schoolwork and making sure they understand what they are reading. The stairs leading up to our unit are a bit narrow, and it can get a little crowded in the hallway when classes are switching over. We don't have a big reception area, just a small desk where someone usually sits to answer the phone and talk to parents. Sometimes the market gets really noisy with all the shops and people, but we have gotten used to it by now. It is just a normal, hardworking environment. We try to keep everything organized, though sometimes papers get shuffled around when things get busy. It is a simple place where the focus is on the teaching and not on looking polished. We just open up every morning, do our work, and head home like everyone else in Delhi.
