Accountability In Research Implementation Evaluation Foundation

We are located on the first floor of H3/9 in Bengali Colony, over in Mahavir Enclave. It’s part of the Dabri and Palam Village area in West Delhi. The Accountability In Research Implementation Evaluation Foundation is a bit of a mouthful, but we just call it the office. The street can get pretty muddy when it rains, so we’re always wiping our shoes at the door. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of families and small shops. Our office is simple, just a few rooms where we handle research and evaluations. We spend most of our time looking at screens and going over documents. It’s not the quietest place because you can hear the airplanes from the airport nearby, but you stop noticing them after a few days. We don't have any fancy signs or a big receptionist. You just come up the stairs and knock. We’ve got some mismatched chairs and a lot of folders. It’s a real working space, not something out of a magazine. We like being in West Delhi because it feels grounded. Most of us live within a few kilometers, so the commute isn't too bad unless the main road is blocked. We just try to do our jobs properly and stay on top of all the research we’ve got going on. It’s been our home base for several years now and we've grown fond of the daily routine here.
