Aashra Charitable Medical Foundation

Aashra Charitable Medical Foundation is based at 53, on the third floor in Hari Nagar Ashram. It’s a busy part of New Delhi, right near the main road. Getting up to the third floor keeps us fit, since we’re up and down those stairs all day long. We don’t have an elevator, so it’s just the old-fashioned way. The office is a bit cramped with all the supplies and files we keep, but it serves its purpose. We are just a few people trying to run this medical foundation without a lot of fuss. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or people in suits. Most of the time, we’re just in our regular clothes trying to sort out the next task. Hari Nagar Ashram is a place where everyone is always in a hurry. We try to be a bit more grounded. We handle a lot of different things throughout the week. Sometimes it’s organizing files, other times it’s meeting with people who need help. It’s not a polished operation, but it’s a real one. We’ve been at this address for a while now and the locals know where we are. We just wanted a place where we could be reachable. It’s practical and straightforward. There’s always tea on the stove and work to be done on the desks. We don't worry much about how things look, we just focus on doing what is needed today.
