If you are looking for Aadyant Social Foundation, you’ll find us over at Plot No. 81. We are also in a basement, this time in the Nortex area of Model Town. Delhi 110009 is a pretty busy part of the city, especially with all the shops and people moving around all day long. The basement stays fairly quiet though, which is good for getting things done without too much distraction from the street noise outside. We have a simple door and a small sign. Inside, the space is divided up with some basic partitions. It’s not the kind of place you’d see in a magazine, but it’s practical for our daily routine. We’ve got a couple of old computers and a printer that jams every now and then. We spend a lot of time here just planning things out and talking to people who live in the surrounding blocks. Sometimes the air feels a bit still down there, so we usually have a small fan running in the corner. It's a very lived-in space, with coffee mugs left on desks and papers piled up in the corners. We don't really bother with decorating much because we are usually too busy with the actual work. It’s a straightforward setup for a group that just wants a place to meet and keep the records straight. Model Town is a good location for us because it’s central to a lot of the things we do.
