Our place is over in the Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-I, specifically at Plot No. D-6/3. If you’ve spent any time in this part of Delhi, you know it’s mostly just rows of industrial buildings and lots of trucks moving in and out all day long. It’s a bit of a dusty area, but it’s where all the real work happens. A. Paul Instruments Company has been based here for a long time. We handle different kinds of instruments, and the shop floor is usually filled with the sound of tools and parts being moved around. It isn't a quiet office by any means. There’s always someone checking a gauge or fixing a piece of equipment. The walls are lined with shelves that are overflowing with bits and pieces we’ve collected over the years. We don’t spend much on decorating the place because we’re too busy actually using the space for work. Most people who come by are looking for something specific for their own machines or shops. It’s a practical kind of place. We start early in the morning before the heat really kicks in, and usually, the tea break is the only time the noise stops for a bit. It’s just a straightforward operation here. We know where everything is, even if it looks a bit cluttered to someone else. It's just home for us and we've been doing this for years without changing much.
