Doodles The Play School

Doodles The Play School is located in Pet Village, which is part of Allur in Nellore. It’s a small place, mostly just a few rooms filled with colorful mats and plastic toys. We spend our days looking after little kids who aren’t quite old enough for the big schools yet. It’s usually pretty noisy from the moment the first parent drops their child off until the last one leaves in the afternoon. We have a lot of drawing paper and crayons laying around because the kids love to make a mess. Cleaning up is a big part of what we do here, especially after lunch or snack time. The building itself is just a regular house that we’ve adapted for the children. There’s a small outdoor area where they can play, though we have to watch them closely so they don’t wander off towards the main street. Allur is a busy spot, so there’s always something going on outside our gate. We don’t have a formal curriculum like the older schools; we just try to keep them busy and happy. Sometimes we sing songs or tell stories to keep them quiet for a bit. It’s a lot of work and it can be tiring, but it’s what we do. The parents seem to appreciate having a place like this nearby. We have some small cubbies where the kids put their bags and water bottles when they arrive. It’s funny to see how they all have different characters even at such a young age. We just provide a safe space.
