Diara Nashipore Primary School

You can find us at D.No.26-3-2293 here in Nellore. This is a primary school where we spend our days with the younger kids. It’s not a very big place, but we have enough room for the classes we run. Most of the walls are painted a plain color and we have some charts pinned up that the children made. The street outside can get a bit busy with traffic, but once you’re inside the gate, it’s all about the lessons. We have a routine that we’ve followed for a long time. The morning starts with a small assembly and then everyone heads to their rooms. We don't have fancy air conditioning, just the ceiling fans that hum along all day. Sometimes we have to fix a desk or replace a light bulb. It’s just the usual maintenance you’d expect. The staff here is small, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from teaching to helping out with the midday meals. It feels like a very normal, everyday kind of place. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just want the kids to learn their lessons and have a safe place to be during the day. Sometimes the rain makes the roof a bit noisy, but we just talk louder. It’s a simple school for the local community. We've been here for years and hope to stay for many more.
