About Naman Agro – Agriculture & Farming in Neemuch
Naman Agro is right here in Mandi Prangan on Station Road. It gets really busy in the mornings when the tractors start pulling in. You can smell the grain everywhere. We spend a lot of time just moving bags around and checking the moisture in the wheat or the pulses. The Anaj Mandi is a loud place, especially during harvest season. Sometimes the dust is so thick you can hardly see the other side of the yard. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. It’s not a fancy office, just a desk and some old chairs where we sit with the farmers to settle the daily rates. Usually, someone is making tea in the corner or out back. We track the arrivals and departures on a big chalkboard because it’s just easier than looking at a small screen all day. The trucks block the road sometimes, but that’s just how it goes on Station Road. By noon, the sun is hitting the tin roof and it gets pretty warm inside. We just keep the fans going and get through the stacks of paperwork. It is mostly just us handling the piles of grain and making sure the weighing is done right. People drop by to chat or check the prices before they head back to their villages. It’s hard work, and my boots are always covered in grain dust, but we like the pace of it. Nothing is very fast here, except maybe the trading when the market opens.
