Katappa Farmer Producer Company Limited

Katappa Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of House Number 256 in Gram-Panwasa. It’s a small village and we are all neighbors here. We aren't some big city business with a lot of money. We are just a group of local farmers who decided to pool our resources together. It’s much easier to handle the markets when we work as a team. We use the house as our meeting spot. We talk about what seeds to buy and what the prices are looking like in the local mandis. Panwasa is a quiet place except during the harvest when everyone is out in the fields. The roads can be a real problem when it rains, so we have to plan around that. We share a few tractors and other tools because buying them alone is too expensive. We don't have a website or a marketing person. We just grow what we can and try to sell it for a fair price. Most of us have been farming this land since we were kids. Our hands are usually stained with dirt and we don't wear suits. That’s just not how things are done here. If you want to find us, just ask any of the locals for house 256. They’ll know who you mean. We aren't doing anything fancy, just trying to keep the farms running and our families fed. It’s a simple life but it keeps us very busy all year.
