Nawada Jeevika Mahila Kisan Producer Company Limited is located near the DAV Public School in the VIP Colony area of Nawada. Our office is in Pushpanjali Bhawan. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the school kids are all around and the traffic gets a bit much. Most of us here are women from the nearby villages. We get together to manage our farming work. It isn't always easy, balancing home life and the work in the fields, but we make it work somehow. The building is pretty easy to find because everyone knows where the school is. Inside, it's mostly tables, chairs, and lots of registers filled with notes and dates. We spend our time discussing what the different farmer groups are doing and how to handle the logistics of getting things sold. Sometimes the office gets crowded with everyone talking at once about their daily problems. It’s a bit of a trek for some of the ladies to get here from the outer villages, but they show up anyway because it is important to the group. We don't have a marketing team or fancy slogans to show off to anyone. We just talk about the price of grains and who needs what for their land this season. The town of Nawada is growing fast, but out here in the VIP Colony, it's a mix of houses and the school noise. We’ve been at this for a while now, and it feels like a second home to many of us.
