Harvesttime Agro Producer Company Limited is based in Hilsa. We are located at number 44 in the Court Area. Saroj Devi is the person in charge of the office there. Being near the court area means it is usually quite busy around our place. We are a group of farmers who decided to team up. Hilsa is a good place for farming, but it helps to have a company to handle the selling and buying side of things. We don't have a big staff or any fancy uniforms. It’s just us doing the work that needs to be done. We spend a lot of time talking about the different seasons and what seeds are working best in our soil. The office in the village of Hilsa is where we keep our books and have our meetings. It is a plain space, nothing special to look at, but it works for us. We started this because we wanted to have more control over where our produce goes. Farming is a tough life and you never know what the next month will bring. We try to help each other out when things get difficult. It’s not about being a giant corporation. We are just local people trying to make the most of the land we have. Most days you will find us either at the office or out checking on the fields around the village. It’s a slow process sometimes, but we just keep working the land the way our families always have.
