Sai Filtech

If you know M.G. Road, you probably know how busy it gets around here. Sai Filtech is located at 20, Sanket, and we’ve been here long enough that the local tea seller knows exactly how we like our drinks. We work with filters mostly, which sounds pretty straightforward until you actually get into the thick of it. There are so many different sizes and types that the shelves in the back are always a bit of a mess, no matter how much we try to organize them on Saturdays. It’s a bit cramped inside sometimes, especially when a big shipment arrives and we have to move everything around to make space. The air always has that slight smell of new materials, which I’ve grown to actually like over the years. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees; it’s just a handful of us making sure things get shipped out to where they need to go. Every morning starts with checking the orders and seeing what needs to be packed. We talk to a lot of different people, from guys running small workshops to folks from larger plants. It’s interesting to hear what everyone is working on. We just do our bit and try to stay out of the traffic as much as possible. It’s a decent way to make a living, and the location means there’s always something happening outside our door to keep things lively and moving.
