Patel Engneering Works

At Patel Engneering Works, we spend most of our time at Plot No. 4201 in the Plastic Zone of the GIDC in Sarigam. That’s in the Bhilad area of Valsad. Being in the GIDC means we’re surrounded by all sorts of factories and workshops. It’s a busy environment and there’s always the sound of machinery in the background. We’ve been at this plot for quite a long time. Our shop isn't the most modern-looking place, but it has everything we need to get our engineering jobs done. We’re mostly out on the shop floor dealing with metal and machines rather than sitting in an office. It’s a bit of a hands-on life, and we often go home with grease on our clothes, but that’s just part of the trade. We don't have a big staff, just a few guys who know how to handle the tools. We don't really do much in the way of promotion. Usually, people from the other units in the GIDC just drop by when they have something that needs fixing or making. We try to be helpful whenever we can. Sometimes we’re so busy we fall behind on the cleaning, so the place might look a bit lived-in. We don't worry about that too much as long as the work we turn out is solid. It’s a local business and we’ve lived in Valsad for years, so we know a lot of our customers personally.
