Mukesh Engineering Works

Mukesh Engineering Works is tucked away at Shed No. 1401/5 in the GIDC Estate. It’s a typical engineering shop, honestly. We have the lathes, the drills, and the welding gear all set up. It’s not a huge space, so we have to be organized about where we put the raw materials and the finished parts. My father started this kind of work, and we’ve just kept it going. We handle a lot of repair jobs for other businesses in the estate. When a machine breaks down, they often bring the parts over to us to see if we can fix them. We do a lot of custom stuff too, where someone needs a specific bracket or a shaft made. It’s dirty work and our hands are usually stained with oil. We don't mind it. There’s a certain satisfaction in taking a piece of raw metal and turning it into something useful. The radio is usually playing in the background, though you can’t always hear it over the sound of the grinders. We don’t have a website or a sales team. People just know us because we’ve been here in the 1401 block for so long. If we say we’ll have it ready by Tuesday, we try our best to make that happen. Sometimes parts are hard to find and things get delayed, but we’re always honest about it. We just keep our heads down and get the job done. It’s a simple way to run things but it works for us.
