Route Mate Tourism

Our little office is in Durga Apartment, Office No. 10, over in Sector 10 of Sanpada. It’s a quiet enough place on Plot No. 186. Route Mate Tourism spends the day helping people figure out their travel plans. Usually, it’s a family wanting to go to the mountains or a group of friends looking for a beach trip. We spend a lot of time on the phone checking train seats or looking for bus timings. It’s not a fancy travel agency with big screens. We just have two old computers and a lot of maps pinned to the walls. We’ve been in Sanpada for quite a while now and know the area well. Sometimes people just want a car to take them to a temple for the day. We arrange that too. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for the booking systems to load. During the summer or festival times, it gets very busy and the phone never stops ringing. We try to find the best routes that don't cost too much because we know travel is expensive these days. Sometimes the internet goes down and we have to do things the old-fashioned way by calling up the agents directly. It's a simple operation here. We just like helping people get where they need to go without a lot of fuss. It is a good way to earn a living.
