Our workplace is Row House R-200 in Sector-4 over in Airoli, Navi Mumbai. Being in a row house is a bit different than being in a big glass building. It feels a bit more private and quiet. We have several rooms across the floors where we handle all our heavy industry engineering work. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it’s not too loud during the day. We have a small front area where we sometimes stand and talk during breaks. Inside, the rooms are filled with desks and a lot of filing cabinets. We’ve been at this R-200 address for quite a while now. Most of us take the train to Airoli and then walk or take a rickshaw over. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but we are used to it. The kitchen is small but we manage to make our tea there every morning. We don't really have any decorations on the walls, just some maps and work schedules. It’s a very basic setup. We prefer it that way because it’s easier to just focus on what needs to get done. There are some nice trees on the street which makes the walk to the station better in the evenings. It’s just a normal place where a bunch of us work together and get through the daily pile of engineering tasks.
