You can find our office on the 5th floor of Bima Complex in Kalamboli. The room number is D-5087. If you are familiar with Kalamboli, you know it is the main hub for all the transport and cargo businesses. Our office is a bit small and it is mostly filled with desks, computers, and stacks of logbooks. The elevator in the building is often slow or busy, so we end up taking the stairs quite a bit. From our window, you can see rows of trucks lined up along the roads for miles. We spend our entire day on the phone talking to drivers and making sure everything is on schedule. There is a lot of noise from the street below and the signal can be patchy. It’s not the kind of quiet office job some people have. We deal with a lot of paperwork and customs documents every day. Sometimes there are delays at the warehouse and we just have to sit and wait for updates from the field. We have been in the cargo business for a long time now. Our team knows the common routes and the trouble spots on the highways. No complicated software is used here; we just rely on our experience and the people we trust. The office gets very warm in the summer, so we have the fans running constantly. It’s a busy place with people coming in and out all day long.
