Aquila Spices

Our unit is located within the MIDC area, which is pretty much what you’d expect from an industrial zone. It’s all about the work here. We deal with spices, which means there’s a lot of grinding and mixing going on throughout the shift. The sound of the machinery is the constant background noise to our day. It’s a dusty job, and by the time the shift ends, most of us have a layer of spice dust on our clothes and shoes. We don't really have a front desk or a waiting area because we don't get many visitors who aren't here for business. The focus is entirely on the production floor. We have to keep an eye on the grinders to make sure they don't overheat, and the packing area is always a flurry of activity. It’s not a glamorous place to work, but it’s what we know and what we do well enough. The MIDC can be a bit gray and drab, but inside our walls, it’s full of color from the turmeric and chili. We have a small team, and everyone knows what they’re supposed to do without being told. We just keep our heads down and work through the orders. When the machines finally stop at the end of the day, the silence is actually quite nice. It’s just a regular workplace doing a regular job, day in and day out, without any fuss.
