Zilla Parishad Primary School

This is the Zilla Parishad school here in Nashik. We are located in the 422001 area code, which is pretty central and easy to get to. It’s a government-run primary school, so things are very simple and basic. We have classrooms with benches and a blackboard in each one for the teachers. There are no fancy decorations or expensive equipment here. We focus on the basics for the local children who live in the surrounding streets. The building is older and has seen a lot of students pass through its doors over the many years it has been open. We have a small courtyard where we gather for the morning prayer and announcements. It’s usually quite loud with the sound of kids talking and playing before the first bell rings. We have a few staff members who take care of everything from the actual teaching to all the government paperwork. It’s a lot for a few people to handle, but we manage to get through it every week. The school day starts early and ends in the afternoon. We follow the standard curriculum that's set for us by the department. It’s an honest place where kids come to learn their first letters and numbers. We don't have a lot of extra funds for anything extra, so we make do with what we have. Sometimes the roof needs a bit of repair or the paint starts peeling on the walls, but the teaching still happens every day. It’s just a normal part of the community here in Nashik.
