Yashvantrao Chavan Open University is located over at Plot No. 61/5 in the Upnagar area, specifically Sramnagar, here in Nasik-6. This place is usually buzzing with students and people coming in to check on their courses. It’s an open university, so we see all kinds of people, from young kids just starting out to older folks who decided to go back to school. We aren't some fancy private college with manicured lawns. We are a practical place for people who want to learn. The office here in Sramnagar handles a lot of the administrative side of things. It can get pretty hectic when exam time rolls around or when registrations are opening up. We have stacks of books and forms everywhere. The staff here is just regular people from Nasik who want to help students get their degrees. We don’t use a lot of big words or have some grand vision statement posted on every wall. We just show up and help people figure out which classes they need to take. Sometimes the lines are long, and sometimes the system is slow, but we get through it. It’s just how things go here in Upnagar. We’ve been a part of this community for a long time, and we just keep doing what we do every semester.
