Brahma Valley College Of Technical Education Polytechnic is located on Trimbak Road over in Nashik, Maharashtra. We’re out here in the 422213 area, which is a bit of a drive from the main city center. The campus is actually quite large because we need the space for all the technical equipment and workshops. We’ve got students coming in for various diploma courses in engineering and tech. The workshops are the heart of the place, usually smelling of oil and metal. It’s not the cleanest environment, but that’s what happens when you’re actually building things. The buildings are fairly plain and made of concrete, designed more for function than for looking pretty. We have a lot of students who commute from the city, so the mornings are always busy when the buses arrive. Our faculty members are practical people; most of them have worked in factories or on sites before they started teaching here. We don’t have a lot of time for corporate speeches or polished presentations. We just get out the tools and get to work on the day's lessons. Some days the machines break down and we have to spend the afternoon fixing them, but that’s just part of the learning process for the students. It’s a straightforward kind of place where we just focus on the technical side of things and getting through the syllabus.
