Yashshvi Beauty Parlour

The shop is tucked away in Shop No.14 at Hariniwas Socity here in Nashik Road. Most people find us because we are right behind Mukti Dham, which is a big landmark everyone knows. I usually start the day by sweeping the floor and wiping down the mirrors before the first person knocks. It’s not a huge place, just a simple spot in Dhongde Mala where neighbors come to sit for a bit. There’s always some noise from the street, but inside it stays fairly quiet. We’ve got the basic chairs and the usual stuff you’d expect in a parlor. Sometimes the fan makes a little clicking sound if it’s on the highest setting, but it keeps the air moving when it gets hot outside. We see a lot of the same faces every week, mostly women from the society who just want to get things done without making a big fuss. It isn't anything fancy or like those big centers in the mall. Just a local shop where we keep the towels clean and the water running. I like looking out the window between jobs to see who is walking by towards the temple. The light in the afternoon hits the front glass just right, though it makes the dust show up more on the shelves. We just try to keep things steady and make sure everyone feels okay while they are sitting here. It’s a job like any other, really.
