We are located over in Ashwin Nagar, right behind the Swami Vivekanad swimming pool. If you know the CIDCO area, you know it can get a bit busy during the afternoons. At Asd-42, we spend most of our time dealing with piles of building materials that come through the yard. It is a lot of lifting and moving stuff around, which keeps everyone pretty tired by the end of the shift. The office is small and tucked away, mostly filled with ledgers and old receipts that seem to pile up faster than we can file them away. Usually, there is a truck parked out front or someone trying to maneuver a delivery into the back space. It gets a bit chaotic when three things happen at once, but we have a rhythm for it now. The pool nearby sometimes means there are kids around, so we have to be careful when the big vehicles are moving. Our staff mostly lives nearby, so we just walk or bike in. The floor is usually covered in some kind of grit or cement dust, no matter how much we try to sweep it out in the morning. We don't have a big fancy showroom or anything. People just come to the gate, ask for what they need for their construction jobs, and we see what is in the stacks. It’s a practical way to spend the day for all of us here.
