V.K. Engineering

V.K. Engineering is situated right at Kiran Chowk, near the Ring Band area. If you know where Vijeta Press is, then you've basically found our front door. It’s a bit of a noisy intersection, but it keeps us in the middle of everything. Our workshop and office are joined together, so you’ll often hear the sound of tools or machinery coming from the back while someone is trying to talk on the phone. It’s a bit chaotic at times, but it’s how we like to work. We don't have any shiny furniture or carpets. It’s concrete floors and metal workbenches for the most part. The walls are covered with tools and some old blueprints that we still refer to occasionally. We’ve been here at Kiran Chowk for years, and we’ve seen shops come and go. We stay because the location is practical for our deliveries and for people to drop off their projects. It’s not a clean-room environment; there’s grease and metal shavings and the smell of oil, but that’s engineering for you. We just get on with the jobs that come in, whether they are small repairs or bigger fabrications. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We don’t spend much time on fancy talk, we just look at the problem and try to fix it. We usually have a bit of music playing in the background to keep things lively.
