Vijay Hair Saloon

Vijay Hair Saloon is located right on Jail Road in Nashik, very close to the Dasak Bus Stop. Being near the bus stop means we see a lot of people passing by every single day. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but we keep it functional. I’ve lived in this area for a long time, so setting up the saloon here made sense. People stop in while waiting for their bus or after finishing their work for the day. It’s a straightforward setup with a few mirrors and the usual tools. We do hair cutting and beard trimming for the local men and boys. Usually, the radio is playing some songs in the background to keep things from being too quiet. Sometimes it gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we keep the door open to get a bit of a breeze from the road. It can get dusty because of all the traffic on Jail Road, but we do our best to wipe down the counters. We don’t take appointments or anything like that; you just walk in and wait your turn on the wooden bench. Most of the guys who come here like to chat about cricket or the weather. It’s a friendly enough place where everyone knows each other’s names. We just focus on getting the job done right so people can get back to their day. It’s just a regular neighborhood shop for regular people who live in the 422101 area.
