Vaitarna Organic Farmers Producer Company Limited is based in Dhargaon, which is near Igatpuri in the Nashik district. Our spot is in Vaitarna Nagar, postcode 422402. Being near the Vaitarna area means we have a lot of hills and greenery around us. We are a group of farmers who decided to work together. Most of our days are spent out in the fields or here at the post office address handling the administrative side of things. It’s a very rural setting, so things move a bit slower than in the big cities. We deal with organic farming because that’s how many of us have always done things, or at least how we want to do them now. The air is good here, but the rains can be very heavy during the monsoon. We have a small building where we meet and store some of our equipment. It isn't a polished office with air conditioning. It’s just a place with some sturdy tables and chairs. We talk about seeds, soil, and where to sell our crops. Every farmer in our group has a say in what happens. We aren't trying to be the biggest company, just a group that works well together.
