Umesh Chandra Mens Parlour

We have been running this shop for a while now at Shop No. 3 in Sayyed Pimpri. If you know the Panchavati area in Nashik, you probably passed by us near the Grampanchyat. It is a quiet spot most days, but it gets a bit busy on the weekends. I usually open up the shutters early in the morning when the sun is just coming up over the buildings. The air is still a bit cool then. I sweep the floor and set the chairs right before the first person walks in. It’s a small place, nothing fancy, just a couple of mirrors and some combs. We spend most of our time here, watching the cars go by on the road outside. People from around the neighborhood stop in, some stay for a long talk and others are in a hurry to get back to work. Living and working here in Nashik, specifically in the 422003 zip code, feels very familiar. Most of the people who come in are regulars we’ve known for years. Sometimes the traffic near the Grampanchyat gets a bit backed up, and we just watch it from the doorway while waiting for the next person. It’s just a normal part of the day for us at Umesh Chandra Mens Parlour. We don’t do much else besides keeping the shop clean and making sure the scissors are sharp for whoever walks through the door next. Anyway, that is about it for our little shop.
