Our operation is based at C-30 in the MIDC Malegaon area of Sinnar. It is a bit of a drive out here, but we like the space we have. We do CNC engineering, which means we spend a lot of time sitting at the computer screens and then watching the machines do their thing. The machines are heavy and they make a specific humming sound that you get used to after a few weeks. Sinnar can get quite windy, and sometimes the dust blows into the shop, so we have to be careful with the equipment. We started out with just one machine and slowly added more as we got busier. The workshop isn't anything special to look at, just a corrugated metal roof and some sturdy walls. We have a small area where we keep the finished parts before they get picked up. We don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, whoever is closest to the desk just picks it up. Usually, our hands are covered in coolant or oil, so we have to wipe them off first. It is a practical way to run things. We focus on getting the dimensions right so the parts actually fit where they are supposed to go. It is not glamorous, but it keeps us busy and the machines running. We take our lunch under the tree outside when the weather is nice and watch the trucks go by.
