Sonu Mens Parlour

I started the shop here at Akshara Heights a few years back. It is just a small corner spot at Shop No 1 on Pathardi Road. People from Navale Nagar usually drop by after their work is done. Sonu Mens Parlour is quite close to Hotel Changla Chungala, so most people know where to find us without much trouble. The traffic around Pathardi Phata gets pretty loud in the evenings, but inside it is mostly just the sound of the ceiling fan. I try to keep the chairs clean and the mirrors wiped down every morning. We do regular hair cuts and shaves for the local guys. It is nothing fancy, just a simple place for a trim. If you want those very modern styles, I can try, but most regulars just want to look neat. Some days I have a helper, but often I am working alone. The heat can get bad in the afternoons, but we manage. I grew up in Nashik and I know many of the faces that come through the door. We usually talk about the weather or local news while I work. It is a simple enough life. Sometimes we even run out of water and have to wait for the tanker to come by. That is just how it is. I hope to keep the doors open for many years. It is just a normal barber shop for normal people in the neighborhood.
