You can find us at Shop 27 in the New Market Yard. We're situated near the RTO on Peth Road. It’s a busy spot, especially during the peak seasons. We handle various goods that come through the market. The shop isn’t very big, but we use every inch of space for storage. We spend most of our time dealing with farmers and transporters. It’s a lot of manual work, moving things around and checking the quality of what comes in. The floor is usually concrete and gets a bit cold in the winter mornings. We open up early, usually before the sun is fully up, to catch the first arrivals. There’s always someone coming by to ask about prices or to drop off a delivery. We don't use much technology here, mostly just pen and paper for the records. It’s simpler that way for us. The tea guy comes around twice a day, which is the highlight for most of the staff. Being in the New Market Yard means there's always something happening. It’s not a quiet job by any means. We’ve been here since the market yard opened up at this location. It’s a regular life, nothing special to write home about. We just do our bit and go home. If you're looking for us, look for the sign near the corner. We usually stay until six or seven at night and then lock up the shutters.
