Peth Road is always a bit crowded, especially with the Octroi point right there. We are situated in the Panchavati area of Nashik, which is a place that never really sleeps. Our shop is just a small room where we keep everything we need for the day. There are two chairs and a small bench for people to wait on. Usually, there is a pile of old newspapers for them to read while they wait their turn. It gets a bit dusty because of all the vehicles passing by on the road outside, so we have to wipe the counters every few hours. The noise of the city is always there in the background, but inside, it is just the sound of the scissors. We don’t have any big posters or fancy decorations on the walls. It is just a plain shop for regular men who need a haircut before they go to work or back home to their families. Panchavati is a busy part of town, and we get all sorts of people walking in. Some are in a hurry, and some like to sit and talk for a bit. We don’t mind either way. We just do the work as it comes. It is a steady life here on Peth Road, and we have gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood over the years. We just keep our tools ready for whoever walks in next.
