You can find our shop on Bhadrakali Road, very close to the Bhadrakali Temple in Nashik. Because we are near the temple, there are always lots of people walking by, especially on holy days. Our shop is just a regular place for men to get their hair trimmed. We have been here for a while and the locals know us well. It’s a small room with a few chairs and big mirrors that cover the walls. We don't have a fancy sign or bright lights, just a simple place where we do our work. The smell of incense from the temple sometimes drifts inside, which is nice. We do basic haircuts and beard shaves. There’s no need to call ahead, people just come in when they have time. We have a wooden bench for waiting, and there are always some old newspapers lying around. The fans overhead keep the air moving, though it still gets hot in the summer. I learned how to cut hair from my uncle, and now I run this shop with a friend. We talk to our customers about their families and their work. It feels like a community spot. We don't charge much because we want everyone in the neighborhood to be able to afford a haircut. It is just a modest business. We keep the floor swept and the towels washed, and that’s about it. Every day is different depending on the temple crowd.
