Operating out of Nashik has its own rhythm, and we’ve been part of the local scene here for a good while now. Being Sai Traders means we deal with a lot of different people every single day. It’s not like those big city offices you see on television with glass walls and carpets. We have a modest setup where the phone rings a lot and there’s always someone coming in to ask about current prices or when their delivery might arrive. Nashik is a big place but the trading community feels surprisingly small, so everyone kind of knows everyone else by their first name. Our days start quite early, usually with checking what came in on the trucks and what needs to go out to the customers. The warehouse space gets a bit disorganized when we have a big shipment arriving, and I’m always telling the guys to stack things more neatly so we don’t trip. It’s a lot of paperwork, honestly. More than I thought when I first got into this line of work. We don’t have a fancy website or a big marketing team. It’s just us handling the orders and making sure the trucks are loaded correctly before the drivers leave. Sometimes the traffic in town makes everything late, and we have to spend the whole evening making phone calls to explain. It's practical work, nothing too exciting, but it keeps us very busy from Monday to Saturday. When the weather is nice, we leave the shutters open and watch the street life.
