Sahyog Salon & Academy

We are over on Masjid Road in the Bytco Classic Apartment. It is pretty easy to find if you look for Sent Philip Church across the street. Sahyog Salon & Academy has been around for some time now. We do more than just hair here because we teach students too. The academy part keeps us busy all through the day. You’ll see young people learning how to hold a comb or use a dryer correctly. It gets a little noisy when everyone is practicing at once, but that is part of the life here. Nashik Road is a good area to be in. We get people coming in for regular cuts and others who want to learn the trade properly. I remember when we first moved into this building. It felt big back then. Now, with all the equipment and the students, it feels just right. We don’t have a big front desk or fancy posters. Just the stations and the mirrors. Sometimes the church bells ring and it reminds us of the time passing by. We try to keep things organized but when it’s a full house, there’s hair everywhere for a bit until we sweep it up. Teaching is different than just cutting hair. You have to be patient with the beginners. Most of our regulars don’t mind the students watching. It’s how everyone learns the skill. We just keep going day by day here in Nashik. It is honest work and we like seeing people leave happy with their new look.
