I spend most of my day at shop number six in Chainikia Appt. We are right on Gangapur Road in Nashik. The Akashwani Tower is just a little way off, so people use that as a landmark when they are looking for us. It’s a decent area, quite a bit of traffic during the day. We are close to the Datta Mandir too. I usually get here early to set things up before the sun gets too high. We have all kinds of food items, mostly packaged stuff that stays fresh for a while. You’ll find things like snacks, flour, and some spices that people use in their kitchens every single day. I don’t like it when the shelves look empty, so I’m always moving boxes around to make sure everything is visible. The floor needs a lot of sweeping because of the dust from the road. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat about the weather or how the local cricket team is doing. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular shop where you can grab what you need for dinner or a quick snack. The lighting inside is a bit bright, but it helps when you’re looking for a specific brand of biscuits. I’ve been working here for quite some time now and I know most of the people who live in the apartments nearby. It’s just a normal job in a normal part of Nashik. We don't have a big staff, just me and occasionally my brother.
