S S Salon

The shop is tucked into Shop No 2 of Satybhama Appt. We are right on Wadala Pathardi Road, which gets quite a bit of traffic throughout the day. If you know where the Kalika Petrol Pump is in Vinay Nagar, you can find us easily because we are just nearby. Nashik is a big place but this corner feels like a small village sometimes. I started S S Salon because I needed to work close to home and I’ve been here ever since. It isn't a very fancy place with big lights or anything like that. We have a couple of chairs that have been with us for years and a big mirror that needs cleaning more often than I’d like to admit. People come in from the neighborhood to get their hair trimmed or just to say hello. Sometimes we have a queue on Sunday mornings when everyone is off work. I usually have the radio playing some old songs in the background. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so I’m always sweeping. It’s just a normal shop run by normal people. We don't have a big sign outside, just the name. My neighbor from the apartment complex often stops by for a chat while I’m working. It feels good to be part of the community here in 422006. We just do our job and go home at the end of the day.
